Tips for a Wonderful Candle Experience
TRIM THE WICK. Make sure to trim the wick to ¼” before lighting and each time a candle is re-lit.
MAKE THE FIRST BURN COUNT. Soy wax has a memory and should be allowed to achieve a full melt pool on its very first burn. If it is extinguished prior to allowing a full melt pool, all subsequent melt pools will not go past the first one, creating the dreaded tunnel.
CREATE A WAX POOL. To get a strong and long lasting scent, make sure to allow the top layer to melt into a pool of liquid wax. To create a full melt pool, burn the candle for a minimum of one (1) hour for every inch of it's diameter, but no longer than 4 hours. All future burns should follow the first one's path and melt fully to the sides.
BURN SAFELY. Always burn within sight and on a heat resistant surface. Keep away from things that can catch fire. Always keep away from pets and little hands. Never burn a candle unattended! Do not burn longer than 4 hours at a time. The safest way to extinguish a candle is using the lid provided with your candle to suffocate the flame, versus blowing the candle out.
SAY GOODBYE. Time to let your candle go when only ½” wax remain.
